Collecting, Preserving, Protecting, and Publishing the scholarship and creative output of Harold B. Gill, Jr.

Harold B. Gill, Jr. was a consummate historian of Colonial and early post-Revolutionary Virginia. Beginning in December 1961, he served as an active member of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation for most of the next half century, ending as Consulting Editor of the Colonial Williamsburg Journal in the spring of 2015. The Foundation established in his name seeks to make his extensive research available to the general public.
